Sandra Brown is a commercial lawyer, with particular experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.

Experience

Before starting decoded:Legal, Sandra worked for five years as an in-house lawyer for Bayer, supporting Bayer’s five healthcare divisions - pharmaceuticals, diabetes care, radiology, consumer care and animal health.

She advised on a range of contractual matters, such as buying services and selling healthcare products, and also advised on Bayer’s social media campaigns.

In 2013, Sandra was invited to work in Bayer's global team in Berlin, where she worked exclusively on competition law matters for Bayer’s healthcare business.

Prior to Bayer, Sandra started her legal career at City law firm Mayer Brown, during which time she was seconded to AstraZeneca subsidiary MedImmune.

Sandra has co-authored an article on apps and wearables as medical devices with Neil, for the Society for Computers and Law.

Education

Sandra has a masters degree in EU competition law from King's College London, and an undergraduate degree from University College London.
